Orange County Window Film Installation Process

At Orange County Window Film, we place our customers first before all else. When you work with us for your window film installation, you can trust that your Orange County home, business, or building will be in good hands. Industry experts have carefully devised our installation process to provide results that look beautiful and perform over the years.

Step 1: Consultation
Your experience begins with a free and thorough onsite consultation. One of our tenured staff, who will also be your project manager, will visit you at your home or business to meet with you and discuss your project. We want to ensure that we get the job done right, which means we must know about your goals and concerns. During this time, we may also show you samples of different films, make recommendations, and take site measurements. If you feel comfortable proceeding with the installation, we can also book your installation appointment immediately.

Step 2: Preparation
To make the process go as smoothly as possible, we prepare for the installation beforehand at our workshop. Our team will work to develop an individualized plan for your project. Then, using a high-powered plotter, we trim the film in advance to ensure it is perfect. Not only does this save time, but it also helps to eliminate product waste and keep our services more environmentally friendly.

Step 3: Installation
During the day of the installation, your designated project manager will arrive at your home or business at the time of your appointment. After a quick greeting, we’ll commence the installation by cleaning all the glass and then applying a window film primer called C-Bond.* The film is carefully applied to the primed glass, and all excess primer is removed using a squeegee. Then, the windows are cleaned and inspected to ensure no gaps, bubbles, or defects in the film or glass. Then, the film is allowed to dry and set, and the installation is complete.

*We always recommend C-Bond, but this is an optional treatment. Please note that for projects that do not use C-Bond, the window film may take longer to dry and achieve full clarity.

Why do we use C-Bond?
C-Bond I is a window film primer that strengthens glass and window film products by altering them at the molecular level. We use C-Bond because it provides our clients with a better experience. Not only does the film adhere better and achieve clarity sooner, but it also stays intact longer. C-Bond I also helps to protect windows from flying rocks, golf balls, and other forces that can cause glass to break.
